Recipe Kit turns your Shopify blog posts into proper recipe pages, and turns the ingredients in those recipes into things people can buy from you.

What Recipe Kit does

Shows a recipe card on your blog posts, or on any page you choose
Makes ingredients shoppable, so a reader can add what they need to their cart without leaving the recipe. Add to Cart is part of the Growth plan.
Adds Google Recipe Schema to every recipe, which is what puts your recipes in search results with a photo, star rating and cooking time
Tracks what people do with your recipes: views, adds to cart, prints and shares
Imports recipes you already have, from a URL, a photo, a PDF, pasted text, your existing blog posts, or a spreadsheet
Drafts new recipes with AI when you need to fill a gap. Unlimited drafting is part of the Growth plan, and the Free and Essentials plans get three free drafts every 30 days.
Translates your recipes. You can rename every label on the card on any plan. Automatic translation of the recipe content itself is part of the Growth plan.

Six card designs

Hero, Editorial, Classic, Compact, Card and Card Vertical. They are on every plan, and switching between them takes one click and updates every recipe at once. Hero and Editorial need the current Recipe Kit widget, so stores still on the older Liquid widget see the other four. See Recipe card templates.

More ways to use your recipes

Recipe List shows a grid or carousel of your recipes on any page, including related recipes under a post. It is free on every plan. See Add a recipe list to any page.
The Tools page holds importing and exporting, plus tools that work across all your recipes at once, such as keywords, and renaming an ingredient or changing its product link in every recipe. See The Tools page.

Getting started

When you first open Recipe Kit, it walks you through setup in a few short steps: Welcome to Recipe Kit, Your first recipe, Setup and Plan, then Done. Setup puts your first recipe on your store. After that, a setup guide called Get the most out of Recipe Kit at the top of the home page shows what is left to do.

Installation guide covers the guided setup, and adding Recipe Kit to your theme by hand.

Linking blog posts to recipes covers connecting a recipe to a post.

Already have recipes somewhere else? Click New recipe and choose Import a recipe to pull one in from a URL, photo, PDF or pasted text. For a whole library, start with Bulk recipe import and export. You do not need to write blog posts first. A recipe you add from New recipe gets its own post when you click Create.
