Linking a Recipe to a Blog Post

From Recipe Kit

1. Open your recipe
2. Find Linked Resources section
3. Click Add Blog Post
4. Choose the blog (if multiple)
5. Search for or create a blog post
6. Select the post
7. Save

Creating a New Blog Post

Recipe Kit can create blog posts automatically:

1. In Linked Resources, click Create Blog Post
2. Recipe title becomes post title
3. Recipe description becomes post content
4. Post is created as draft
5. Edit in Shopify Blog admin as needed

Display on Blog Posts

Widget Placement

1. Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize
2. Select Blog posts > Default blog post
3. Add the Recipe Kit app block
4. Position in your desired location
5. Save

How It Displays

• Full recipe card appears in the post
• All recipe features available
• Add to Cart, Print, Share buttons work
• Mobile responsive

Default Blog

Set which blog Recipe Kit uses by default:

1. Go to Settings
2. Find Default Blog
3. Select your recipes blog
4. Save

New blog posts will be created in this blog.

2. Find Blog Post Template
3. Set default template
4. Save

Unlinking

1. Open the recipe
2. Find Linked Resources
3. Click remove next to the blog post
4. Save

Multiple Posts

A recipe can link to multiple blog posts if needed.

Troubleshooting

Recipe Not Showing on Blog Post

• Verify link exists in Recipe Kit
• Check Recipe Kit widget is added to blog template
• Confirm recipe is Published status
• Ensure widget is enabled

• Add correct blog post
• Save recipe
