Widget Not Showing

If your recipe cards aren't displaying, the most common cause is a theme change. When you switch or update your theme, the Recipe Kit block needs to be re-added.

Re-Add Recipe Kit to Your Theme

For Online Store 2.0 Themes (Most Common)

  1. Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize
  2. Select Blog posts > Default blog post from the page dropdown
  3. Click Add block in the main content section
  4. Select Recipe Kit from the app blocks list
  5. Click Save

For Vintage/Legacy Themes

If Recipe Kit doesn't appear in the app blocks list, you'll need to manually add the snippet and CSS files. See the Installation Guide for full instructions on adding recipekit.liquid and recipekit.css to your theme.

Other Quick Checks

If re-adding the block didn't help:

  • Recipe status - Make sure the recipe is set to "Published" (not Draft)
  • Blog post linked - Check that a blog post is linked in the recipe's Resources tab
  • Browser cache - Try a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R or Cmd+Shift+R)
