  3. Choose:
    • Published - New recipes go live immediately
    • Hidden - New recipes start as drafts (recommended)
  4. Save settings

Recommendation

Use "Hidden" as default. This ensures you review recipes before they go live, preventing incomplete recipes from appearing on your store.

Visibility on Different Pages

Blog Posts

Only Published recipes linked to a blog post appear on that post.

Recipe Collections

Recipe collections only show Published recipes.

Search Results

Only Published recipes appear in any search or filtering.

Seasonal and Promotional Recipes

Use status to manage seasonal content:

  1. Create seasonal recipes (holiday, summer, etc.)
  2. Keep Hidden until the season
  3. Change to Published when timely
  4. Set back to Hidden after the season

This preserves your work while controlling visibility.

Published Recipes

  • Track views, adds, prints, shares
  • Appear in analytics dashboard

Hidden/Disabled Recipes

  • No new analytics tracked

  • Don't appear in current reports
