How AI Recipe Generation Works
Our AI generates recipes using advanced language models. You provide parameters, and AI creates:
- A complete recipe title
- Appetizing description
- Full ingredient list with measurements
- Step-by-step directions
- Appropriate times and servings
- Suggested tags and categories
Generating a Recipe
From the Recipes Page
- Click Create Recipe
- Select Generate with AI
During Onboarding
New users can choose AI generation during the onboarding wizard.
AI Recipe Parameters
When generating a recipe, you can specify:
Cuisine Type
Choose from:
- American
- Italian
- Mexican
- Chinese
- Japanese
- Indian
- Thai
- Mediterranean
- French
- Korean
- Or leave blank for any cuisine
Skill Level
- Easy - Simple techniques, common ingredients
- Intermediate - Some cooking skills required
- Advanced - Complex techniques, specialty ingredients
Dietary Restrictions
Select any that apply:
- Vegetarian
- Vegan
- Gluten-Free
- Dairy-Free
- Nut-Free
- Low-Carb
- Keto
- Paleo
Equipment
Specify available equipment:
- Standard (stovetop, oven)
- Instant Pot
- Air Fryer
- Slow Cooker
- Grill
- No-Cook
Key Ingredients
Optionally list ingredients you want to use, and the AI will incorporate them.
Generated Recipe Review
After generation:
- Review the complete recipe
- Edit any fields as needed
- Add or modify ingredients
- Adjust directions
- Upload your own image
- Save when satisfied
Best Practices
Be Specific
More specific parameters create better recipes. "Thai vegetarian curry using tofu" works better than just "Asian food."
Review and Edit
AI-generated recipes are starting points. Review for accuracy and adjust to your preferences.
Add Personal Touches
- Upload your own photos
- Adjust seasonings and quantities
- Add personal notes and tips
Match to Products
After generating, link ingredients to your store's products for add-to-cart functionality.
Limitations
- AI generates text only, not images
- Recipes may need slight adjustments for accuracy
- Nutrition information is not auto-calculated (add manually)
- Some unusual combinations may produce unexpected results
