Recipe Equipment
The equipment list tells a reader what they need out of the cupboard before they start, and gives you somewhere to link the kitchen products you sell.
Adding equipment
In the recipe editor, find the Equipment section and add a row per item. Type whatever you like, it is a free text field, so "12-inch cast iron skillet" is as valid as "skillet".
Drag rows to reorder them, and add a group heading if a long list needs splitting up.
Writing a useful list
Be specific where it matters. "9x13 inch baking dish" saves a reader ruining a bake in the wrong tin. "Bowl" does not need the same treatment.
Say when something is optional. "Stand mixer (or a hand mixer and patience)" and "Instant-read thermometer, recommended" both set expectations honestly.
Do not list everything. Nobody needs to be told they will require a spoon. List the things that would stop someone mid-recipe if they did not have them.
Linking equipment to products
If you sell cookware, link equipment items to products the same way you link ingredients: click the product icon beside the row and search for the product.
On Advanced and Enterprise plans that turns the equipment list into another place a reader can buy from you, which for a store selling pans is often worth more than the ingredients.

How it displays
Equipment appears as its own section on the recipe card, before the directions.
Two things worth knowing:
- Equipment is hidden in Cook Mode, on the basis that you have already got the pan out by then. See Cook Mode.
- If a recipe has no equipment, the section is left out entirely rather than shown empty.
Filtering by equipment
Recipe Kit's free blog filter addon filters on blog post tags, not on the equipment field. So if you want readers to browse "air fryer recipes", tag the blog posts accordingly, or add the equipment as a recipe keyword and switch on keyword-to-tag syncing.
