How Videos Display

  • YouTube and Vimeo display as embedded players within an iframe
  • TikTok and Instagram display their native embed formats
  • Videos are hidden when printing recipes
  • Videos appear in a dedicated "Recipe Video" section

Video SEO

When you add a YouTube or Vimeo video, Recipe Kit automatically includes the video in your recipe's Google structured data (schema.org). This can help your recipes appear in video search results.

The schema includes:

  • Video name (uses recipe title)
  • Video description (uses recipe description)
  • Thumbnail URL
  • Content URL

Tips

  • Use high-quality videos - They reflect on your brand
  • Keep videos relevant - Show the cooking process or final result
  • Consider video length - Shorter videos often perform better
  • Test on mobile - Ensure videos display well on all devices
