Collection Integration
Link recipes to Shopify collections to organize them and cross-reference them against the products they use.
What collection links do
Connecting a recipe to a collection helps you:
- Organize recipes by theme or product type
- Group related recipes together
- Keep a structured catalog as your library grows
Note: collection links are organizational. They do not display recipes on collection pages by themselves. To show a recipe to customers, add the Recipe Kit block to a template and either link the recipe to a blog post or set the Recipe ID in the block settings.
Linking a recipe to a collection
- Open your recipe in Recipe Kit
- Go to the Resources section
- Add a collection
- Search for it, select it, and save
A recipe can link to as many collections as you like.
Ways to organize
By product. Link recipes to the collection of products they use, so your baking supplies collection maps to your baking recipes.
By theme. Quick meals, healthy eating, family favourites, holiday cooking.
By season. Summer grilling, autumn comfort food, winter holidays, spring produce.
Managing links
The Resources section of any recipe shows its current collection links and lets you remove them. Save afterwards.
