Link recipes to Shopify collections for organization and discovery.
How Collection Links Work
Connecting recipes to collections helps you:
- Organize recipes by theme or product type
- Group related recipes together
- Build a structured recipe catalog
Note: Recipes display on blog posts, not collection pages. Collection links are for organizational purposes and internal reference.
Linking Recipes to Collections
From the Recipe Editor
- Open your recipe in Recipe Kit
- Find the Linked Resources section
- Click Add Collection
- Search for the collection
- Select it and save
Multiple Collections
A recipe can link to multiple collections for cross-referencing:
- "Holiday Recipes" collection
- "Quick Dinners" collection
- "Chicken Recipes" collection
Organization Strategies
Product-Based Organization
Link recipes to collections of related products:
- Baking supplies collection → Baking recipes
- Spice collection → Recipes featuring spices
- Kitchen tools collection → Recipes using those tools
Theme-Based Organization
Create organizational groupings:
- Quick meals
- Healthy eating
- Family favorites
- Holiday cooking
Seasonal Organization
Organize by season:
- Summer grilling recipes
- Fall comfort food recipes

Managing Collection Links
View Current Links
In the recipe editor, Linked Resources shows all connected collections.
Remove Links
- Open recipe
- Find collection in Linked Resources
- Click remove
- Save
Displaying Recipes
To display recipes to customers:
- Link recipes to blog posts (see Linking Blog Posts to Recipes)
- Add the Recipe Kit widget to your blog post template
- Publish the recipe
Collection links help you organize internally, while blog post links control where recipes appear on your store.
