Recipe typography cheatsheet
The recipe editor swaps common shorthand for the proper character as you type. Type 1/2 and you get ½. There is nothing to switch on.
This works on every plan.
Where it works
The swaps happen in ingredients, directions and equipment rows, in Author, Category and Cuisine, and in FAQ questions.
They do not happen in Description, Notes, FAQ answers or the custom fields. They also only happen while you type. Text you paste, import from a file or website, or get from an AI draft keeps the characters it came with.

Undo a swap
Press Backspace straight after a swap and you get your original characters back. Use it when you meant to write 1/2 as typed.
